This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and partners with the Regional Facilities Manager for additional departmental support. The Facilities Manager is the on-site maintenance expert, overseeing, training, and performing maintenance tasks with the Facilities Team.\nKey Responsibilities\nThink critically to respond and react quickly to ever changing situations on property\nAble to problem solve to resolve issues safely and efficiently\nDeliver clear expectations to the team in all operational areas\nProfessional in all internal and external communications\nHelp and support guest and team member issues quickly and efficiently\nInterview and collaborate with OM on hiring of Facilities team members\nParticipate in delivery of performance reviews for team members\nDeliver corrective actions to team members\nPrioritize goals and delegate tasks on a regular basis for facilities staff while working in conjunction with the camp Operations Manager\nAble to run the camp and work independently with minimal oversight in the event the OM is unavailable\nFind ways to streamline processes to maximize efficiency and resource use\nEstablish and maintain relationships with local businesses and communities\nBe growth oriented\nEvaluate, develop, and report on NPS and eNPS action plans\nMaintain the departmental budget by managing Facilities’ purchases and updating checkbook of operating expenses to match business needs and to meet monthly and yearly financial goals\nOversee and perform routine and preventative maintenance for all aspects of the property including infrastructure elements, tents, and maintenance equipment\nPerform key tasks in planning of capital purchases and projects throughout the year\nCreate synergy across property departments through strong leadership\nMeet with team members to support their growth and development\nCreate positive work environment that is guest-focused\nEnsure that all camp-level SOPs and expectations are implemented, updated, and maintained\nCollaborate with other members of camp management and the corporate team\nPrioritize tasks effectively\nParticipate in camp level and company-wide meetings\nSubmit high quality work products in a timely manner\nPromote company sustainability initiatives\nOther duties as assigned\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience\nExperience as maintenance technician minimum of 2 years with at least 1 year of supervisory experience\nExperience in infrastructure systemsincluding plumbing, septic, gas, electrical, generators, landscaping, road maintenance, and water/well maintenance\nProvide inputand assist Operations Manager in annual build of maintenance department budget\nCompetently perform duties in absence of OM\nDemonstrated commitment to delivering high quality customer service\nGoal-oriented, results-driven, strong interpersonal and communication skills\nCommunicate in a clear and professional way\nInteract with a friendly, enthusiastic, positive attitude\nDemonstrate sound judgement, follow direction, and take decisive appropriate action\nLearn, embrace, and train team on company policies, practices, and procedures\nStrong organizational skills to execute and prioritize multiple tasks\nAbility to work independently and meet deadlines on assigned projects\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\nParticipate in educational and training opportunities\nAdditional Information\nThis position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.\nThis position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently.\nPhysical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.\nAbility to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind. \nThis position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.\nThis job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of Under Canvas. \nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:\nUnder Canvas strives to provide a comprehensive benefits and compensation package that addresses the needs of our team members.
