Our complete and diverse range of construction services includes gas transmission and distribution, electrical transmission and distribution, airport fueling facilities, industrial and special projects, telecommunications, and utilities.\nResponsibilities\nReview and verify vendor and subcontractor invoices and check requests, ensuring accurate coding.\nVerify Subcontractors are compliant with all relevant regulations and standards\nPrepare invoices for payment including uploading them into the accounting system\nResearch, resolve, and reconcile invoice discrepancies and accounts payable transactions\nPrepare and perform check runs\nReview and account for company credit card transactions\nMonitor vendor/subcontractor accounts and statements to ensure timely payments\nEstablish and maintain communication with vendors and subcontractors promptly responding to their inquiries\nPrepare monthly accruals and assist with the month-end closing process\nSupply and maintain required documentation for audit purposes\nMaintain organized vendor/subcontractor files and file checks\nPerform additional related duties and projects as assigned\nQualifications\nAssociate degree in Accounting or Business Administration or 3-4 years of relevant experience\nSolid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations\nProven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records\nData entry skills\nProtect the organization's value by keeping information confidential\nHands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE or other full-scale ER software)\nCustomer service orientation and negotiation skills\nHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail\nAbility to work extended hours when necessary for business needs\nExperience working in construction is a plus\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment\nPhysical Requirements\nSedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
