The position is based in Nakuru and requires on-site work.\n\nRole Purpose\n\nThis role reports to the maintenance supervisor and will effectively perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on property, plant and equipment to achieve overall efficiency and effectiveness.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPlant Maintenance\n\nProcess, plan, implement and control, review and adjust a maintenance schedule for assigned jobs.\n\nPreventive and condition-based maintenance of machines as per laid down instructions and procedures to ensure smooth running\n\nTrouble shooting Mechanical equipment and machine failures by inspection and testing and prescribing corrective action and reinstating it back to its working condition\n\nEnsure efficient machine operations during shift cover\n\nInitiating purchase requisition for machine spare parts for maintenance\n\nIdentify and report all assets misuse (e.g. machines, spares, tools, etc.)\n\nMachine modification, improvement and innovation to improve efficiency\n\nMaintenance checks on building structure and facilities\n\nBasic maintenance of plant utilities (Generators, Compressors etc.)\n\nSupport maintenance of building, facility and machines at the Central Support Office\n\nAny other assigned duties by the supervisor\n\nMaintenance Reporting\n\nInspection of machines operations and recording of accurate data such as pressures, temperatures etc. to ascertain smooth operation or service requirements.\n\nLogging details of work performed on data records to enable further action, planning for next service and storage as history.\n\nCapturing correct and accurate data i.e. task details and time taken on job cards.\n\nCommunication & Accountability\n\nImprove on process accountability through F2F discussions\n\nEnsure effective communication\n\nParticipate in conflict resolution.
