Effective Key Account management is to ensure the quality of private sector relationships against a defined plan set by the organization and to secure value for UNHCR in the context of the Key Account, i.e. UNHCR- UNIQLO partnership in this case, by aligning with PSP's operational processes, policies and LG strategy. Effective partnership management, coordination of activities and delivery of agreed commitments are central to the UNHCR - UNIQLO partnership and its success and the position will play an important role to ensure that these goals are achieved for the maintenance and expansion of the partnership.

The incumbent's major responsibilities will be:

1) to support the management and implementation of partnership-related activities;

2) to develop and deliver communication related activities and materials required in and outside of Japan in coordination with UNHCR internal colleagues and UNIQLO stakeholders; and

3) to support other activities designated by the Global PSP Key Account Manager to achieve the goals of the Key Account/partnership.

The PPH Associate will work closely with internal UNHCR colleagues mainly in PSP Project Support, PSP Communications, UNHCR's Branch Office in Tokyo and DPSM Livelihoods. Other stakeholders can be emerged based on the activities/project and the expected outcomes of the Key Account, especially for communication related activities. The incumbent is also responsible to support the PSP Account Manager to achieve the objectives set for UNHCR-UNIQLO partnership.

The incumbent will act as a resource to provide administrative support for the partnership, which includes development of communication materials for internal and external audiences, translating documents from English to Japanese and verse visa, contents development and production of communication materials. In this regard, the Associate will work closely with Public Information and Communication colleagues in the UNHCR Tokyo Branch Office for quality control of the messaging and alignment of the global initiatives.

The incumbent is expected to establish solid working relationships with key members of PSP team, the Tokyo Branch office, UNIQLO communication team and other stakeholders internally and external to UNHCR and provide high quality service in a professional manner.

2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

Under the direct supervision of the Global PSP Key Account Officer, Tokyo, the PPH Associate (Account Management) will perform the following duties:

• Support the management of the partnership with UNIQLO (e.g. by helping to draft donor reports, plan donor missions, contribution management or other tasks necessary to ensure that relationships are appropriately nurtured).
• Support production, management and quality control of communication and fundraising related materials and documentation for UNHCR especially with respect to the UNHCR-UNIQLO partnership in Japan, which includes preparation of contents, documents, press releases, report and the translation from English to Japanese and , and coordinate obtaining clearance on other languages as needed vice versa.
• Support communication activities, fundraising campaigns and key global initiatives such as World Refugee Day especially which require an engagement with the Key Account across markets in and outside of Japan.
• Support the production of contents for use on social media channels in English and Japanese.
• Support high level annual meetings and events organized in Japan.
• Support the Global PSP Key Account Manager to achieve the objectives set for the Key Account/UNHCR- UNIQLO partnership.

3. Qualifications and Experience

a. Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education)

• Secondary Education with certification in either of the following: communication, social sciences, marketing, business administration or relevant degree.

b. Work Experience

• 3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher.
• Relevant professional experience in areas related to fundraising, communication in an international organization, preferably in the UN system and/or with UNHCR.
• Ability to deal with multiple tasks in a service/results-oriented manner in demanding working conditions that often have short deadlines.
• Ability to establish effective working relations with various stakeholders of different cultural and social backgrounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills in English and Japanese, which include good ability to prepare documents (briefing notes, media contents, project reports and other communication materials) in English and Japanese and the translation.
• Good skills of use of Microsoft word, excel and power point. Additional skills for other software such as Publisher and Prezi are desirable (skills of Adobe lnDesign is an asset).
• Proven experience using social media platforms, tools and tactics for engagement.
• Knowledge of issues concerned by UNHCR (e.g. refugees and humanitarian assistance).
• Field experience with humanitarian organizations preferred.
• Experience in managing partnerships with corporations and/or foundations is an asset.

4. Location and Conditions

This vacancy is open for applicants residing in Japan.

This position is initially up to the end of the year with possibility of extension subject to budget availability and overall performance of the incumbent. It is a full-time role starting from 9:00am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
