General BackgroundPrivate Partnerships & Philanthropy (PPH) team in the sub-office Hong Kong was established in 2017 to solicit donations from high-net-worth individuals, foundations, corporations, and faith groups. Over a period of 5 years, the team has identified great business opportunities in Hong Kong, specifically high-net-worth individuals, and foundations. Furthermore, the global objective of PSP is to achieve USD300 million by 2025 and the PSP Unit in Hong Kong is categorized as one of the six Developing Markets where continuous growth is expected with investment focusing on fully establishment to secure longer term income growth.\nPPH in Hong Kong is strategically envisioned as an important channel to deliver the global objective.\nThe PSP Assistant (PPH) will be supporting PPH team to optimize our potential to consolidate major gifts through quality prospect research and reports for the team to strategize our approach in maximizing major gifts.\n2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment\nReporting to Associate PPH Officer, the incumbent will work in the followings:\nAs delegated by the supervisor, support the engagement of PPH donors, and all activities relevant for the acquisition and strengthening of relationships with them, depending on the local market and philanthropic landscape.\nSupport the preparation of pitches, presentations, proposals, reports and any other fundraising materials targeting PPH donors.\nSupport the PPH team/colleagues in maintaining and managing the PPH prospect and donor pipeline, including support to the management of existing partnerships, e.g. by helping to draft donor reports, plan donor missions or other tasks necessary to ensure that relationships are appropriately nurtured.\nSupport the team with desk and market research to provide intelligence to inform PPH initiatives and/or the approach to specific donors or sectors.\nSupport on the logistics for internal and external events, including internal skill-shares.\nAs delegated, and in collaboration with administrative colleagues, support PPH colleagues with procurement and administrative matters.\nHelp to update content on PSP’s SharePoint platform, in order to improve internal communications, and to maintain a regular flow of information with colleagues within and outside PSP.\nSupport PPH colleagues with information management and knowledge-sharing, through the collation and dissemination of documents and data pertaining to partnerships and philanthropy.\nKeep records of partnerships and relationships up to date. This might include helping to keep track of income raised, keeping internal calendars and plans updated, and supporting on data entry and maintenance on Salesforce.\nGather and collate data/information on various topics and for specific audiences in support of communication and visibility plans with PPH donors, organize the logistics of content-gathering missions.\nSupport the implementation of activities for UNHCR campaigns, including local and global UNHCR campaigns for PPH donors;\nSupport the PPH team/colleagues in the adaptation, testing and/or development of activities and tools that support private sector fundraising efforts, including online activities in the future.\nKeep aware of developments in the fundraising and business environment and raise relevant updates on possible PPH opportunities with the supervisor.\nPerform other related duties as required.\n3. Qualifications and Experience\na. Education\nCompletion of Tertiary Education, degree is desirable in Communications, Marketing, Economics, Journalism, International Relations, Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, Fundraising or a related field. Candidates with a degree in other disciplines with a proven relevant professional record will also be accepted.\nb. Work Experience\nMinimum 2 years of relevant working experience for high school diploma and 1 year of experience with a Bachelor’s, degree or equivalent or higher.\nAbility to produce high-quality written materials tailored to specific audiences.\nAbility to balance different and sometimes competing needs and deadlines\nExperience in coordinating multiple stakeholders, with an ability to multi-task, manage time, and thrive in a high-pressure environment\nExperience working in a multi-cultural environment.\nKnowledge of partnerships, fundraising, and/or relationships with donors and/or external partners, and/or marketing and communications.\nc.
