Product analysts are the primary consumers of this data, so the role involves close, ongoing collaboration with them to ensure what we capture is accurate, trusted and ready for reporting.This role is best suited to those with experience of responsibilities for digital data capture, ideally with exposure to doing so on mobile applications and websites. Day to day you’ll be responsible for correctly measuring our digital journeys and product features, implementing MarTech tags yourself and, where needed, partnering with our engineering teams to get implementation right.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and write digital data requirements for journeys and features based on business needs, and work with engineering teams to ensure correct implementation across all platforms - including QA, UAT and release monitoring. This work is primarily within GTM, GA4, Firebase and Segment.\nCollaborate with marketing teams to deliver or advise on the correct implementation of marketing technology platforms, including Google Tag Manager where required.\nSupport data governance for product data capture - working proactively with analysts and reporting teams to spot data-integrity issues, and with engineering teams to resolve them end to end.\nMaintain and improve our data-capture documentation so analysts can self-serve, and help monitor and reduce technical analytical debt.\nWork with our engineering teams (with the support of your manager) on key projects, including helping develop new overarching measurement approaches and standards\nRequirements\nExperience working with engineering teams to advise on and support the implementation of tracking solutions.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to translate stakeholder requirements into engineering-friendly specifications.\nHands-on experience implementing and debugging analytics tracking in mobile apps (iOS and/or Android), including validating event data with tools such as Charles Proxy. \nHands-on experience across the product/digital analytics/MarTech stack, particularly Google Analytics 4 and a tag manager such as Google Tag Manager (or equivalent).\nExperience working with Segment or a similar customer data platform. (Desirable)\nA working understanding of marketing technology principles and data pipelines. (Desirable)\nBasic familiarity with BigQuery for querying GA4 export data. (Desirable)\nExperience working in a product-centric, sprint-based (Agile) environment.
