We expect you to bring your experience, enthusiasm and creativity wherever you go and put them in the work you do. You should be able to think out of the box when finding solutions to brand new problems and make things work when the solution is not straightforward.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop embedded Linux firmware for managed Ethernet switches and related networking products;\nCollaborate with global firmware, hardware, and product teams throughout product design, bring-up, development, and release;\nDevelop and maintain Linux user-space services, management daemons, platform libraries, and hardware abstraction components;\nImplement and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching functionality, including VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, LLDP, multicast, and routing features;\nIntegrate switching silicon SDKs, platform components, and third-party open-source software into the firmware;\nImprove switching performance, reliability, startup time, resource usage, and system observability;\nWork with hardware engineers on board bring-up, BSP integration, hardware validation, and low-level issue investigation;\nDiagnose complex control-plane and data-plane issues using logs, packet captures, hardware counters, tracing, and profiling tools.\nRequirements:\n3+ years of embedded software development experience using C or C++;\nStrong understanding of Linux internals, including processes, memory management, networking, netlink, and event-driven I/O;\nStrong knowledge of Ethernet switching and networking fundamentals, including Layer 2, Layer 3, VLANs, bridging, multicast, and routing;\nExperience developing Linux-based firmware, platform services, system daemons, or networking applications;\nExperience with Git, Bash, cross-compilation, toolchains, and embedded build systems such as OpenWrt, Buildroot, or Linux From Scratch.\nExperience with AI tools -
