In compliance with internal standards and procedures, the Production Supervisor implements and documents production improvement solutions. Reports to Production and Warehouse Operations Manager. Located in Newark, CA.\nPrimary Job Responsibilities:\n1. Coordinate production process and activities:\nPlan and coordinate workload for assigned Production groups \nExecute Production Master Plan \nIdentify limits to production and guide teams to continuously improve processes; identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process\nDelegate assignments in the form of tasks and goals and follow established processes to meet the goals of the unit\nCoordinate production jobs with aligned groups in Warehouse and Repair Center; execute budgets, develop work and production schedules\nMonitor workstation inputs and outputs, ensuring timely completion of scheduled tasks \nManage controllable operating expenditure e.g., scrap, consumables\n2. Supervise the personnel of the assigned Production groups\nAssess and manage time and workload, direct and deploy subordinates to perform assigned tasks based on process changes and customer requirements; approve overtime schedules and working hours\nTrain new hires, cross-train existing employees: develop work instructions, conduct on-job and other types of training\nPerform headcount reviews, overtime analysis and plan for / manage temporary workforce\nDevelop and maintain performance metrics and manage performance of the Production personnel, review employees’ performance and recommend employee compensation and disciplinary actions as necessary\nInterpret and enforce policies and procedures related to the functional area through clear instructions, tasks and guidance \nSelect Production personnel according to the workforce needs and plan, actively participate in the interviewing and hiring process and decision-making\nDevelop and maintain mandatory training records\n3. Support improvement of Production process and system\nDevelop, control, monitor, and document key production processes and tools: set-up, wave solder, de-panel, rework, touch up, product testing and pack-out, quality inspection, box build assembly and others and continuous process improvements\nCreate and maintain standard templates for process documents\nProvide input into annual production objectives and plans\nUpdate and maintain online databases, reports, worksheets, and studies\n4.
