This role oversees a team of procurement professionals while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to ensure goods and services are acquired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with company objectives.\nThis position is ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys balancing strategic sourcing initiatives with team leadership responsibilities, building strong supplier partnerships, and driving continuous improvement across procurement operations.\nWhat You'll Do:\nLead day-to-day indirect procurement operations, ensuring purchasing activities are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies\nProvide coaching, performance management, and professional development support for the procurement team\nManage procurement requests through intake systems, workflow tools, and shared mailboxes, ensuring timely response and prioritization\nNegotiate supplier agreements, contracts, and commercial terms to optimize cost, quality, service, and risk outcomes\nPartner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver procurement solutions that support organizational goals\nOversee supplier selection, qualification, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives\nMaintain contract management processes, including recordkeeping, renewals, compliance monitoring, and internal controls\nDevelop and improve procurement policies, procedures, and governance standards to support operational consistency and compliance\nIdentify opportunities to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, leverage technology, and improve procurement efficiency\nResolve complex procurement, supplier, and contract-related issues while ensuring strong customer service and stakeholder satisfaction\nWhat We're Looking For:\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience\nFive (5) or more years of indirect procurement experience\nDemonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements and managing contracts\nTwo (2) or more years of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience\nExperience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, preferably Icertis\nStrong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier management, contract negotiations, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience supporting procurement operations in a complex or multi-functional business environment\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nExcellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills\nAbility to evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives\nExperience developing procurement policies, procedures, and governance standards\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines\nHow You'll Be Successful:\nTop performers in this role tend to be:\nCollaborative partners who build strong relationships across departments\nEffective negotiators who balance value, quality, service, and risk considerations\nStrong leaders who develop, coach, and engage their teams\nDetail-oriented professionals who excel at managing contracts, processes, and compliance requirements\nStrategic thinkers who continuously seek efficiencies and process improvements\nProactive problem-solvers who can confidently navigate complex supplier and stakeholder situations\nCustomer-focused individuals who deliver responsive, high-quality support to internal partners\nAbout UniGroup:\nUniGroup is a transportation cooperative that owns and supports the United Van Lines and Mayflower brands.
