This role acts as the technical authority for network delivery across multiple programs, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with business and architectural standards.\nThe role combines deep hands-on expertise, technical governance, and delivery leadership, working closely with architecture, security, operations, vendors, and project teams.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Network Design & Delivery\nLead the end-to-end delivery of complex network solutions (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, security).\nTranslate high-level architecture and business requirements into detailed, implementable network designs.\nOwn low-level design (LLD) creation, validation, and sign-off.\nEnsure network solutions meet availability, performance, security, and compliance requirements.\n2. Technical Leadership & Governance\nAct as the principal technical authority for network delivery decisions.\nDefine and enforce network standards, patterns, and best practices.\nProvide technical assurance to projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security policies.\nReview and approve designs produced by internal teams and third-party suppliers.\n3. Delivery & Stakeholder Management\nWork closely with project managers, architects, and service owners to plan and execute deliveries.\nLead technical workshops, design reviews, and risk assessments.\nManage technical dependencies, risks, and mitigations across concurrent initiatives.\nProvide clear, executive-level updates on technical status, risks, and decisions.\n4. Vendor & Partner Management\nProvide technical leadership across external vendors and system integrators.\nValidate vendor designs, build quality, and implementation plans.\nEnsure contractual deliverables and SLAs are met from a technical perspective.\n5. Operations & Lifecycle\nEnsure smooth handover to operations, including documentation and support models.\nSupport major incidents and root cause analysis for complex network issues.\nContribute to continuous improvement of network platforms and delivery processes.\nRequirements\nRequired Technical Experience\nExtensive experience delivering enterprise-scale networks, including: \nLAN/WLAN (campus, datacenter)\nWAN / MPLS / Internet\nSD-WAN solutions\nCloud connectivity (Azure ExpressRoute)\nStrong knowledge of network security concepts: \nFirewalls, segmentation, VPNs, Zero Trust principles\nProven experience with: \nCisco / Fortinet / Aruba\nEnterprise routing and switching\nNetwork monitoring and troubleshooting\nStrong understanding of: \nHigh availability and resilience design\nNetwork performance and capacity planning\nRequired Skills & Competencies\nExpert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nStrong ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders\nExcellent documentation skills (HLDs, LLDs, diagrams, runbooks)\nAbility to balance hands-on engineering with strategic oversight\nConfident decision-maker under pressure\nStrong collaboration and leadership skills without direct line management\nExperience & Qualifications\n10+ years of experience in network engineering roles\n3+ years operating at a senior / lead / principal level\nRelevant certifications (desirable, not mandatory): \nCCNP / CCIE\nAzure Network Engineer Associate\nEquivalent vendor certifications\nWhat Success Looks Like\nNetwork
