As you work to make a real impact on the business and the world, we’ll work to help you become a better you!\nPurpose of the Role\nTo drive end-to-end warehouse, inventory, transportation, and 3PL operations across Distribution centres, ensuring superior customer service, safety, compliance, inventory accuracy, and cost optimization. The role is responsible for delivering operational excellence through effective management of Distribution Centres (DCs), transport partners, warehouse service providers, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nWarehouse Operations\nManage day-to-day warehouse operations across assigned DCs and CFA locations.\nEnsure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, quality requirements, and statutory compliance.\nDrive warehouse productivity, space utilization, put-away efficiency, picking accuracy, and dispatch performance.\nEnsure optimal utilization of warehouse infrastructure, automation, conveyors, and MHE equipment.\nLead warehouse audits and ensure closure of audit observations.\nInventory Management\nMaintain high inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.\nMonitor stock ageing, slow-moving inventory, damages, and write-offs.\nEnsure FIFO/FEFO compliance across all product categories.\nDrive inventory productivity and minimize stock losses.\nCoordinate with Finance and Planning teams on inventory governance and stock adjustments.\nTransportation & Distribution\nManage secondary transportation operations to achieve service and cost targets.\nEnsure vehicle placement as per dispatch plans and business requirements.\nMonitor transporters' performance, vehicle turnaround time, detentions, POD compliance, and freight efficiency.\nDrive network optimization and loadability improvement initiatives.\nEnsure timely dispatch of customer orders and STO movements.\nService & Customer Excellence\nDeliver agreed service levels across GT, MT, QCom,E-commerce, CSD, and Key Accounts.\nCoordinate closely with Customer Service, Planning, Sales, and Finance teams to resolve execution challenges.\nMonitor fulfilment KPIs and implement corrective actions for service gaps.\nSupport peak season planning and execution.\nThird-Party Logistics (3PL) Management\nManage warehouse and transport service providers.\nConduct regular performance reviews with 3PL partners.\nEnsure contractual compliance and SLA adherence.\nDrive productivity improvements and cost-saving initiatives through vendor collaboration.\nCost & Productivity Management\nDeliver annual logistics cost targets.\nIdentify and implement warehouse and freight optimization projects.\nDrive continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, automation, digitalization, and process simplification.\nMonitor warehouse cost, freight cost, manpower productivity, and overall cost-to-serve.\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with EHS standards and company safety policies.\nConduct safety reviews, risk assessments, and incident investigations.\nDrive a Zero Harm culture across warehouse and transport operations.\nEnsure statutory compliance related to warehousing and transportation activities.\nPeople Management\nLead DC warehouse executive, warehouse supervisors, operational teams, and outsourced manpower.\nDevelop capability-building plans and training programs.\nFoster a culture of accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.\nDrive employee engagement and performance management initiatives.\nDigital & Continuous Improvement\nSupport Digital DC initiatives and automation projects.\nDrive dashboard governance, KPI visibility, and operational reviews.\nLead process improvement projects to improve service, productivity, and cost efficiency.\nChampion digital adoption and data-driven decision-making across operations.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nService\nDay 0 Dispatch %\nDispatch Compliance\nAllocation to Invoice Gap\nOperations\nWarehouse Productivity\nThroughput\nLoadability\nMHE Utilization\nInventory Accuracy\nBuffer Compliance\nDetention\nPOD Compliance\nTAT\nDOT\nSafety\nNear Miss Reporting Rate\nUnsafe Act / Unsafe Condition Closure %\nForklift/MHE Safety Compliance %\nDriver Safety Training Compliance %\nSafety Audit Compliance\nCost\nLogistics Cost vs Budget\nProductivity Savings\nWarehouse Cost Efficiency\nQualification & Experience\nEducation\nGraduate/Postgraduate in supply chain, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline.\nExperience\n5-8 years of experience in Warehousing, Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain Operations.\nExperience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Retail, or 3PL operations preferred.\nHands-on experience managing warehouses, transportation, inventory, and service providers.\nTechnical Skills\nSAP / ERP knowledge\nAdvanced Excel and Power BI\nWarehouse Management Systems (WMS)\nInventory Management\nData Analytics and Dashboard Reporting\nLeadership Competencies\nCustomer Focus\nOperational Excellence\nProblem Solving\nStakeholder Management\nCost Consciousness\nTeam Leadership\nChange Management\nContinuous Improvement Mindset.\n“Our commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion”\nUnilever embraces diversity and encourages applicants from all walks of life!
