Fabric Cleaning Powders is the largest format by Volume and Turnover in Home Care. For Home Care to grow profitably, Powders format plays a pivotal role, driving both superiority and value.
Powders program continues to drive Superiority in our Power Growth Cells (PGC) through technology innovations and consistent product improvement. New technologies and holistic chassis design (aligned with key consumer drivers) are key enablers that help deliver to this.
Powders program has been consistently delivering Value (Fuel For Growth) through Product Logic savings. This is based on a comprehensive material efficiency program called Ecodesign which is an enabler for savings, reduction in GHG footprint and driver for superiority. To further step up on performance and value with speed, Powders program is pivoting towards a radical Disruptive Ecodesign program. This program needs a high level of creativity, technical excellence and execution rigour. This also requires close collaboration with internal R&D teams, eg. Science & Technology (S&T), Business Units (BU’s), Safety and Environmental Assurance and also with External suppliers.
JOB PURPOSE
As the Global Fabric Cleaning Powders Ecodesign R&D Associate, you will report to the Sr. Product Development Manager, Fabric Cleaning Powders. Your key role will be to integrate technologies into robust chassis design. In addition to being hands-on on technology development, you will work with technology teams (in GDC and S&T), processing team, respective project leaders in Business Units (BU’s) to ensure the journey of new technologies to consumer implementation is robust.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
a.Conceptualize and validate formulations based on (combination of) technologies to deliver to radical Disruptive Ecodesign chassis in Powders in key cells linking consumer and technical insights.
b.Closely work with broader teams across different BUs & all R&D functions (S&T, Appraisal, Claims, Processing, Safety).
Skills Needed for the Role:
·Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering / Masters’ in Physics / Chemistry from a reputed institute. Preferably with 3+ years of experience.
·Core Skills: Curiosity and willingness to learn and apply new Science & Technology areas. Resilient to challenges and consistent focus on the goal. Knowledge of surfactant, interfacial and colloid science is preferable. Ability to conceptualize, design and execute experiments and rationalize results.
· Data & Digital Fluency: Ability to interpret complex datasets, data visualization (JMP/BI/Excel) and data-driven decision-making.
·Communication: Engage with a range of stakeholders with flexibility in influencing styles.
