Knorr remains committed to its long history of making good food available to everyone.\nAs an Instrument Technician at our Knorr factory, you are responsible for installation, calibration, troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies and systems. Work also includes high speed production monitoring and controls, VFD’s, PLC’s, Motion Systems, Vision Systems and related components.\nWhat You'll Do\nRead, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, P&IDs, control drawings, and equipment documentation to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions. \nDiagnose and repair electrical, controls, instrumentation, and mechanical issues on manufacturing and utility systems to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. \nDemonstrate strong electrical troubleshooting skills with systems ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC, including motors, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and power distribution equipment. \nUtilize diagnostic and test equipment including multimeters, loop calibrators, power supplies, process simulators, and other specialized instrumentation to support maintenance activities. \nInstall, configure, commission, and validate electrical and control systems to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and within specified performance requirements. \nCalibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial instrumentation including pressure, flow, level, temperature, pH, conductivity, and other process measurement devices. \nIdentify control system, instrumentation, and equipment performance issues; isolate faults and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurring failures. \nSupport continuous improvement, reliability, and productivity initiatives through root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and process optimization efforts. \nMaintain compliance with all safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while performing maintenance and engineering activities. \nDocument repairs, modifications, and calibration activities in CMMS and maintenance records as required. \nCollaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. \nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. \nWhat You'll Need to Succeed\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. \nMinimum of 2-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical training, or equivalent technical experience, or military technical training is required. \nControls and Automation experience is mandatory. \nExperience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar), HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networking, instrumentation, and automated manufacturing equipment preferred. \nExperience in food, beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or other highly automated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred. \nMust possess Strong critical & analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problema solving skills, Strong analog, digital, and mechanical skills. \nExperience using voltaje and current meters, current generators, hand and small power tools. \nAbility to work at heights and in confined space. \nKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations. \nFlexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends\nEmployment is subject to verification of pre-screening tests, which may include drug screening, physical and background check.\n*Any coverages for health insurance and retirement benefits will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and associated governing plan documents.\n#DEB123\n------------------------------------\nAt Unilever, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
