This role focuses on maximizing productivity, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high-quality standards through effective troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. The Machine Operator collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, ultimately supporting the organization's operational goals and enhancing overall production efficiency\nWHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE\nSafety - Ensure that procedures and practice adhere to safety policy of Unilever and legislation.\nWorkplace Hazards - Full knowledge of workplace and hazards within it. Utilize appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products, and equipment relevant to the tasks in your area.\nEnvironment - Reduce costs due to waste and minimize impact to health, safety and the environment through working to eliminate waste and through the correct management of waste and hazardous materials Operational Activities:\nStart-Up/Shutdown procedures - Oversees pre-start-up machine checks to ensure that the area and equipment is clean and is in a safe condition as per the SOP. Shuts down equipment and the area as per the SOP, a proper Asset care as per the standards.\nEquipment Operation: Operate and monitor production machinery, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. Adjust machine settings based on production requirements and specifications.\nMaintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, Inspection, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime. Maintain a proactive approach to equipment maintenance by following preventive maintenance schedules.\nQuality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet established standards. Document and report any defects or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel.\nData Analysis and Reporting: Capture and Monitor all relevant production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare reports on production performance, equipment status, and maintenance activities.\nCollaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless operations. Communicate effectively with team members regarding production goals, challenges, and safety concerns.\nTraining and Development: Assist in training new basic operators on equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices. Stay updated on company trends and advancements in technology to enhance skills and knowledge.\nContinuous Improvement - An awareness of how to use performance measures to identify and prioritize losses in production area. \nProblem Solving - An awareness of how to identify, prioritize and address problems using appropriate tools and techniques that eliminate recurrence.\nTeamwork - Must be a good team player capable of working within a highly effective team; responsible, supportive and able communicator.\nPerformance and condition of machines and process parameters on soap line.\nWHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED\nExperiences & Qualifications\nMinimum of technical college certificate of level III/IV with atleast 3 years of work experience in a related scope.\nGood knowledge of RM/PM/GMP/MMP, line profiles, process parameters, quality parameters of production operations.\nSkills\nDecent and practical understanding of process parameters, procedures, Safety & quality standards\nKnowledge of the machine components as well as operation/troubleshooting and maintenance of the various machines in the contributing to the finished goods process.\nVery good understanding and proven track record of managing MUVs and Material wastes.\nExperience with GMP and standard operating procedures.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.\nUnderstand AM activity with the good implementation.\nManex/TPM/UMS detailed knowledge will be a plus.\nUNILEVER BEHAVIORS\nCARE DEEPLY: We care deeply about how consumers experience our brands every day, everywhere; about our people’s growth and development and our impact on the planet.
