The position plays a key role as the country-facing partner facilitating interactions between Regional & Country Controllers, Market Finance teams, Global Centers of Expertise, Control Tower, Risk Managers and other Financial Services Service Lines. The R2R Sr. Manager drives operational excellence, provides proactive business partnership, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen financial governance, enhance decision-making, and support the evolution of a more standardized, digitally enabled, and future-fit finance organization.\nKEY RESPONSABILITIES:\nFinancial Stewardship, Governance & End-to-End Controllership Leadership\nEnsure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.\nProvide end-to-end oversight of key controllership processes, ensuring accountability, governance, and operational excellence across the finance value chain.\nLead the identification, escalation, and resolution of financial, operational, and compliance risks.\nSupport internal and external audits, statutory reporting activities, and remediation of audit findings.\nDrive adoption of global standards while ensuring local business, regulatory, and statutory requirements are appropriately managed.\nBusiness Partnering & Stakeholder Management\nAct as a trusted advisor to Regional Controllers and Market Finance leadership teams. Support judgment based and ad-hoc activities and projects.\nProvide insight, challenge, and recommendations on accounting matters, balance sheet performance, controls, and financial risks.\nBuild strong relationships across Markets, R2R Operations, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, and Global Finance teams and other service lines including but not limited to including R2R, S2P, O2C, Tax, Treasury, FP&A\nTransformation, Simplification & Digital Enablement.\nLead and support initiatives, from design to adoption, focused on process simplification, standardization, and organizational effectiveness.\nIdentify opportunities to improve productivity through automation, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and digital tools.\nSupport the implementation of future finance capabilities, operating model enhancements, and process transformation initiatives.\nDrive change management efforts and help build organizational readiness for evolving finance capabilities.\nSKILLS & COMPETENCIES:\nStrong stewardship mindset, with high integrity and independence to address policy deviations, compliance issues, and emerging risks, escalating appropriately when required • Strong business understanding and ability to connect controllership outcomes with market priorities and operational realities\nSolution-oriented and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to simplify complexity, make sound judgments, and drive issues to resolution.\nStrong E2E ownership and accountability, with the ability to work independently, influence across teams, and deliver through ambiguity.\nExperience driving operational excellence and process optimization.\nDigital mindset with interest in automation, analytics, data, and AI-enabled solutions.\nAbility to work under pressure, highly capable of remaining composed, focused, and effective while managing complex and sensitive competing priorities.\nWHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED\nExperience\nProven record leading Finance, Accounting, Controllership, Audit, Financial Compliance, or Recordto-Report operations.\nExperience operating in global, regional, or shared services environments. • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder networks across functions and geographies.\nProven track record of driving process improvements, transformation initiatives, or operating model enhancements.\nExperience balancing operational delivery with strategic improvement initiatives.\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline. • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.\nContinuous learning mindset with interest in emerging finance technologies and digital capabilities.\nUnilever is an organisation committed to equity, inclusion and diversity to drive our business results and create a better future, every day, for our diverse employees, global consumers, partners, and communities.
