As an intern, you will build knowledge and experience in our core business groups and their vision, business objectives, processes, systems, and services. There will also be an opportunity to put leadership, technical skills, and business knowledge to immediate use through high value project assignments.\nThe Human Resources department is seeking students of junior status or below who are interested in working year round. Work full-time during our summer internship period (mid-May to about the first week in August), then work a part-time schedule while in school. Work schedules and hours will be flexibly planned to accommodate class schedules; however, availability to work 15-25 hours per week in person at UP Center in Omaha, Nebraska and virtually when needed, is required.\nThis Internship opportunity is on our Labor Relations team. You will be assigned projects equivalent to those of any Human Resources analyst and will be given the opportunity to manage a project from start to finish.\nThe estimated wage for this position is between $21-$25 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.\nAccountabilities\nSupport Labor Contract Management:\nAssist in preparing and reviewing labor contracts and related documents\nTrack contract compliance and assist in resolving contract disputes\nCoordinate with the labor relations team to ensure accurate contract administration\nCollaboration with Operating and Non-Operations Leaders:\nWork closely with leaders to understand and address labor-related concerns\nAssist in organizing, documentation and discussions related to labor issues\nSupport the implementation of labor relations strategies and initiatives\nAdministrative Tasks:\nMaintain and update labor relations records and documentation\nPrepare correspondence related to labor matters\nPerform data entry and assist with document management and organization\nResearch and Reporting:\nConduct research on labor relations trends\nDraft reports and summaries on labor relations activities and issues\nAnalyze data and prepare presentations for internal stakeholders\nSupport cross-functional projects and/or strategic initiatives\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications - Required\nCollege credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree\nProficient verbal and written communication skills\nBasic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills\nQualifications -
