To learn more about Union Settlement, visit www.unionsettlement, visit www.unionsettlement.org.\nPosition: Temporary Compliance Associate\nDepartment: Youth Development and Opportunity\nReports to: Executive Director of YDO\nHours: 15 hours/week\nSalary: $25 per hour\nFLSA: Non-Exempt\nLocation: Washington Community Center\nPosition Summary\nUnion Settlement’s Youth Development and Opportunity Department is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Compliance Associate to support the department’s compliance, documentation, monitoring, and administrative functions.\nThe Compliance Associate will assist with ensuring that departmental programs and operations adhere to applicable organizational, contractual, regulatory, and programmatic requirements. This position will work closely with program leadership and administrative staff to review records, maintain documentation, monitor compliance requirements, and support the preparation of materials for internal and external reviews.\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within established deadlines.\nResponsibilities:\nReview OCSF program and administrative documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable requirements.\nAssist with maintaining organized and up-to-date compliance files, records, and supporting documentation.\nMonitor required program documents, certifications, forms, reports, and other compliance-related materials.\nAssist program staff with identifying missing, incomplete, or outdated documentation and tracking outstanding items through resolution.\nSupport periodic internal compliance reviews and quality assurance activities.\nAssist with preparing documentation and records for audits, monitoring visits, funder reviews, and other compliance-related requests.\nMaintain compliance tracking tools, spreadsheets, and other department monitoring systems.\nReview data and documentation for inconsistencies and communicate identified concerns to appropriate department leadership.\nAssist with the development and implementation of corrective action plans when compliance gaps are identified.\nSupport the Executive Director with special compliance-related projects and administrative assignments.\nCollaborate with program managers and other department staff to promote consistent adherence to policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.\nPerform other duties related to compliance and departmental operations as assigned.\nQualifications:\nPrevious experience in compliance, quality assurance, program administration, auditing, nonprofit operations, or related field preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies or missing information.\nExcellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nAbility to maintain accurate records and manage multiple deadlines.\nAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.\nAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.\nExperience working in a nonprofit, youth-serving, education, or community-based organization is preferred.\nC OR E C O M P E T E N C I E S\nAttention to Detail: Consistently reviews information carefully and maintains accurate documentation.\nAccountability: Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and follows through on deadlines.\nOrganization: Effectively manages files, tracking systems, and multiple priorities.\nCommunication: Communicates compliance requirements and outstanding items clearly and professionally.\nCollaboration: Builds effective working relationships with program and administrative staff.\nProblem Solving: Identifies compliance concerns and assists in developing practical solutions.\nConfidentiality: Handles sensitive information appropriately and maintains professional discretion.\nUnion Settlement’sDiversity,Equity &InclusionCommitment\nUnion Settlement is an equal opportunity employer.
