Read more in our Press Release\nAs a Senior Manufacturing Engineer your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of one or more manufacturing cells and manage that cells manufacturing process from beginning to end. Taking a hands-on approach, a successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer will monitor production and testing, assist in troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the process.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop manufacturing methods and process drawings using standard GD&T practices and technical work instructions\n\nMUST have metal working experience\n\nMaintain revision control and revision changes for manufacturing process drawings\n\nReview and approve manufacturing drawings for correct GD&T and accuracy\n\nAbility to read and understand technical engineering drawings, specifications, and customer flow down requirements\n\nSupport the research, design, and selection of tooling, fixturing, and gauging to be used in the manufacturing process\n\nInvestigate and determine root cause using 8D and 5 why methods\n\nProvide technical guidance in the disposition of non-conformances\n\nInterpret inspection data during development phases and provide guidance\n\nSupport commercial quote activity by assessing technical feasibility and providing engineering calculations\n\nProvide additional support to the engineering department as needed\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nSkills and Preferred Knowledge\nKnowledge of metals\n\nKnowledge of Non-Destructive Testing including Magnetic Particle, Pressure Testing, and Dye Penetrant\n\nKnowledge of Mechanical Testing including Tensile Test, Hardness Test, Ultrasonic Test, Magnetic Particle Test\n\nHaving a hands-on approach with assembly of designs and fixturing\n\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles\n\nAbility to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, caliper, and dial indicators\n\nExcellent interpersonal, written, organizational and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to multitask with a focus on time management to meet schedules\n\nA high attention to detail with a mechanical aptitude\n\nProficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project)\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent field\n\nMinimum 8 years of engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment\n\nExperience with AS9100\n\nStrong experience in process drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards\n\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
