The role also provides architectural input to pre-sales for Professional Services opportunities within the account, working alongside the Professional Services architecture team and the Client CTO.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and govern the design of enterprise-scale End User and Service Desk solutions aligned to the Department Enterprise Architecture Framework.\n\nTranslate business requirements into secure, scalable, and supportable service designs across the full solution lifecycle.\n\nProvide architectural advice and guidance to the Department and its business units, ensuring alignment with technology strategy and roadmaps.\n\nAct as design authority for all material service changes, ensuring architectural integrity, contractual compliance, and operational sustainability.\n\nCollaborate with service partners, product vendors, and other stakeholders to design integrated, enterprise-level solutions.\n\nLead solution architecture review engagements and due-diligence activities.\n\nReview and assure design standards, quality controls, and test approaches to ensure services meet agreed design and performance outcomes.\n\nWork with Client CTO in Identifying and assessing emerging technologies and developing product and service lifecycle roadmaps.\n\nSupport pre-sales for Professional Services opportunities within the account, shaping solution approaches and providing architectural input to proposals, estimates, and statements of works.\n\nPartners with architects from the Professional Services team and with the CTO to align solution designs with the Department's strategy and our service and support model.\n\nReview new solutions proposed for implementation within the Department, ensuring our Managed Services and support model are incorporated by design and that ongoing supportability is maintained.\n\nTechnical Skills & Capability (EUPSD Aligned)\nThe role requires strong architectural depth across End User Productivity and Service Desk services, including:\nEnd User Compute & SOE: Windows SOE architecture (Windows 10/11), Autopilot provisioning, Intune and SCCM, device lifecycle management.\n\nIdentity & Access: Active Directory and hybrid identity (Entra ID), AD modernization, identity-centric and Zero Trust aligned designs.\n\nCollaboration & Productivity: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Unified Comms and IP telephony platforms, records and information management integrations.\n\nVirtual Desktop & Remote Access: Azure Virtual Desktop, secure enclaves, transition from legacy VDI platforms.\n\nSecurity & Endpoint Protection: Microsoft Defender, application control, Essential Eight alignment, endpoint security architectures.\n\nService Desk Technologies: Omnichannel service desk platforms, self-service and automation (e.g. SSPR), shift-left and digital employee experience tooling.\n\nAutomation & AI: Power Automate, Azure Automation, AI-enabled service desk and productivity capabilities.\n\nYou will be successful in this role if you have:\nBaseline clearance is required for this role.
