From the exceptional service at the check-in counter to the departure gate, and even behind the scenes making sure your checked bags arrive with you, our Airport Operations team keeps operations at our airports running smoothly every single day.\nJob Overview and Responsibilities\nThe goal of Dispatch Scheduling is to provide, in a professional manner, operational coverage for United Airlines' Dispatcher positions, while consistently and without bias adhering to contractual rules and FAA regulations. This position assists managers and supervisors by performing advanced administrative activities and functions associated with scheduling, basic payroll, report preparation and wellness administration associated with office and personnel functions within the NOC. They work closely with union leadership to provide direction and recommendation for future scheduling forecasting. Collaborate with NOC Training and Standards team to manage qualifications and training needs\nEnsures daily roster needs are met in an efficient manner. Calls for shift coverage as needed, in compliance with FAA regulations and in accordance with the CBA contractual requirements. Develops and maintains advanced work schedules for NOC functions \nProcesses overtime needs, shift trades and days off requests in accordance with Dispatcher CBA \nBuilds and maintains the Dispatch schedules and bid relief and maintains dispatcher’s qualifications. \nManages dispatch vacation and holiday schedules and bids \nAssists and supports the NOC Scheduling Manager with other duties as necessary \nAssists with data analytics and report preparation \nNOTE: This position is located at the Arlington Heights Support Center (AHSC) located in Arlington Heights, IL and considered asa hybrid role working 3 days in-office, however that my evolve with the needs of the company.\nQualifications\nWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent work experience\n2 years in an administrative/scheduling role\nProficient in Microsoft Office; primarily Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams\nStrong and positive communication skills\nCustomer Service oriented\nAbility to work with all levels of the organization\nDetail oriented\nAbility to maintain composure in high volume/high pressure situations \nAbility to analyze and report out on data\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship\nSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualification\nReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position\nWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):\nAssociate or Bachelor Degree \n3 years scheduling / supervisory experience; experience working with MARS/eTA or other scheduling tools-software; Airline Experience \nWorking knowledge of PAFCA agreement and work rules \nData visualization and reporting analytics\nPresentation skills\nDemonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them for research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Applies critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to company policies related to responsible AI use, data privacy, and security.\n\nThe base pay range for this role is $53,960.00 to $70,334.00.\nThe base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills.
