The Associate Developer's role is to develop, design, create, and modify software applications/systems to support core business functions. This individual will apply proven technical (best practices and patterns), communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help develop/design/implement software applications/systems to maximize IT's benefit to United.\nOn the Travel Readiness team, the Associate Developer will be part of a team that is critical to the success of the customer’s travel journey. The Travel Readiness team is responsible for checking in customers, checking international travel documents and ensuring those customers are a green light to travel on their trip. The individual will build and enhance the Check In service layer software to meet the needs of our growing customer base and business demands.\nDesign, develop and modify software applications/systems according to specifications\nConsults with Business Analysts and business partners on potential software solutions for business specifications\nProvides support to the software development leads (Senior Developer) during the design portion of the SDLC\nSupport and solve software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions\nDevelop appropriate software documentation as outlined in IDF\nComplete comprehensive unit testing on all developed/enhanced software\nProvides direction tools, technical and process support to less senior developers\nQualifications\nWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):\nBachelor's degree\nTechnical or Scientific field\n1+ year experience in application design, development, installation and modification of software\nC# .Net with backend API/services experience \nAWS exposure\nKnowledge and experience in developing APIs/services\nKnowledge and experience in SQL\nBasic knowledge of one of main programming languages (C#, .Net)\nBeing able to write code that successfully accepts user input and converts it into output\nBasic understanding of Git and GitHub\nExperience writing and running unit tests alongside code development in their local environments\nUnderstands the value of unit tests from a conceptual level\nExposure to the importance and methods behind non-functional testing such as Load Testing\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship\nSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualification\nReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position\nWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):\nComputer Science \nThe base pay range for this role is $73,150.00 to $95,224.00.\nThe base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills.
