Wherever you work and whatever you do, we’ll support you to be the best you can be.\nAbout the Role:\nWe're looking for an experienced Field HSE Advisor to join our HSE project delivery team in a full time and permanent capacity based at our Te Rahui Solar Farm Project located in Rangitaiki (3379) in New Zealand.\nThis is a hands-on, site-based role where you'll work alongside project leaders, workers and contractors to provide practical health, safety and environmental support across construction projects throughout New Zealand.\nReporting to the HSE team, you will play a key role in coordinating, implementing and continuously improving project-specific HSE systems, plans and processes. You'll partner with operational teams to identify risks, promote safe work practices and support compliance across all phases of project delivery.\nAs a trusted advisor, you will provide frontline leadership, coaching and guidance to workers and contractors, helping to foster a positive and proactive safety culture. Through strong stakeholder engagement, practical problem-solving and a focus on continuous improvement, you will contribute to achieving safe, sustainable and successful project outcomes.\nIn this role you will deliver:\nProvide frontline HSE leadership, coaching and support to workers, contractors and project teams\nImplement and maintain project HSE management plans, site safety plans and safe work procedures\nLead site inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions\nMonitor HSE performance, identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives\nReview risk assessments, permits and controls for high-risk construction activities\nSupport worker engagement through inductions, toolbox talks, pre-starts and HSE committee participation.\nMonitor contractor compliance and provide practical advice to supervisors and project leaders.\nCoordinate emergency preparedness, environmental controls and project HSE reporting.\nFor more information on the role’s responsibilities, please click here to download the position description.\nTo succeed in this role you will have:\nQualified in Health & Safety (NZ Certificate Level 4 or equivalent recognised HSE qualification)\nMinimum three years' experience in a site-based HSE role within construction, civil, utilities or infrastructure projects\nStrong knowledge of New Zealand health, safety and environmental legislation and requirements\nExperienced in applying practical HSE systems and controls within operational construction environments\nSkilled at building relationships, influencing stakeholders and driving positive safety behaviours\nConfident communicator with the ability to deliver engaging training, inductions and presentations\nStrong problem-solving and investigation skills, including incident investigations and risk management\nProficient in Microsoft Office and able to communicate technical HSE information clearly and effectively.\nKey Benefits:\nWe’re proud to offer an inclusive, supportive workplace where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to grow.
