Incumbents are expected to develop skills in their area of expertise, and the ability to work with greater independence.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nUnder close supervision, will provide:\nDiagrams, schematics, layouts, multi-view, and various drawings to scale in accordance with clients' requests.\nMathematical, geometrical, and minor engineering computations.\nTo scale engineering drawings using computer aided drafting system\nDetailed design drawings and related specifications of civil/ electrical equipment according to engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.This would include structure, schematic, foundation, grounding, steel, layout, equipment, apparatus, wiring, panel, AC&DC, one lines, and other type drawings necessary to produce substation, relay, and line design job packages\n\nFile drawings, maintain catalogs of engineering data, and perform other routine drawing room functions as required\nRequirements\nSuccessful completion of high school diploma or equivalent\n1-2 years of training at a technical school or equivalent experience\nProven AutoCad and/or Microstation skills\nStrong PC/IT skills (i.e., Word, Excel, etc)\nAbility to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.\nGood written and oral communication skills\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills\nOther Skills/Abilities\nSelf-Motivated\nWork independently\nTeam-Oriented\nCustomer Oriented\nAble to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience in the production of engineering quality drawings\nNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
