Our team is excited to meet you!\nJob Overview & Responsibilities\nQualified candidate will be responsible for providing enterprise level support in the field of Data Analytics/Data Science enrolling through the Systems Engineering organization. This individual will primarily:\nInterpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and provide reports, presentations and technical documents as required.\nDesign, analyze, build, test, evaluate, and implement models from diverse datasets to solve problems throughout the company.\nDevelop visualizations to describe data sets under investigation and/or modeling results.\nCommunicate results in clear verbal, reports, or presentation format to engineers, leadership, and other technical/non-technical stakeholders.\nWork closely with individuals across the enterprise to develop the appropriate tools and methods needed for the various analyses.\nThis position will have a key role in ensuring continuous improvement of the same tools and processes used to execute their function. Candidate should expect to participate in multidiscipline project teams to evaluate customer/operational needs and to develop new and unique solutions to help support decision making across all engineering, manufacturing, launch operations, and business disciplines. Responsible for identifying and applying appropriate scaling of data science activities corresponding with the specific project needs.\nDemonstrated experience in data analytics activities in an aerospace environment is desired. Qualified candidate is preferred to have experience with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve technical and programmatic issues using current and advanced state-of-the-art statistical and/or data science techniques. This position requires excellent written and oral communication proficiency in conjunction with organization skills necessary to maintain focus and achieve consensus within diverse multi-disciplined teams. The candidate may have demonstrated technical knowledge in areas that support launch vehicle and/or satellite vehicle designs, analysis, production and operations. The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to work autonomously, learn and execute processes, and perform in a collaborative environment.\nRequired Education\nBachelor\nRequired Years of Experience\nMinimum of 2 years of related work experience\n Basic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science or Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.\nAt least 2 years of experience with emphasis in Data Analytics/Data Science.\nTechnical expertise regarding data models, data mining, data extraction and wrangling techniques.\nStrong knowledge of and experience using statistical/analytical packages for analyzing small and big data (i.e. Python, R, and/or MATLAB) and leveraging them to impart business insights.\nExperience in applying machine learning and/or artificial intelligence to business or engineering applications.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.\nAdept at queries, report writing and presentation of findings.\nAbility to operate independently and work as part of a team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Engineering, Data Science or Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.\nExperience working in Aerospace Industry with existing and evolving launch systems or satellite systems.\nKnowledgeable in the fields of both engineering as well as statistics and data science. \nOrganization skills necessary to maintain focus and achieve consensus within diverse multi-disciplined teams.\nExperience in cloud-based analysis/modeling such as AWS, Azure, GCS, etc.\nBasic understanding of launch vehicles.\nSelf-motivated with demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and leadership skills on previous technical projects.\n Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $92,783.00 - $154,638.00\nPlease note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
