Our team is excited to meet you!\n Job Overview & Responsibilities\nThe ULA Advanced Programs (AP) team is a multidisciplinary group that helps shape the evolution of future ULA launch vehicles, performs architectural trade studies, develops concepts for future product offerings, supports proposal development, creates technology development roadmaps, and develops new technologies through prototype builds. As a System Engineer for Advanced Programs, you will be leading design efforts to develop future enhancements for Vulcan-Centaur and other launch vehicles. You will ensure that subsystems function together as an integrated system, translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, and lead cross-functional teams during concept development.\nResponsibilities include:\nExecuting early program systems engineering activities \nLeading requirements development, including functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocations,capturing stakeholder expectations,decomposing system requirements down to the subsystem and component levels, interface definition, and use of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools\nLeading concept development, including trade study planning / execution, and working with other technical disciplines to ensure the overall design meets mission needs \nLeading systems analysis, including system modeling, failure mode analysis, do no harm analyses, test method definition, and risk / issue / opportunity management\nTechnical team leadership, including execution planning, technical decision making, requirements verification activities, and customer communication\nSupport to business development and proposal preparation, including Gate Review preparation and proposal writing\nPerforming systems integration activities across a small multidisciplinary team \nEnsuring technical excellence and customer satisfaction\nWe are looking for team members with a passion for the space industry, who enjoy solving complex problems and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nRequired Education\nBachelor\nRequired Years of Experience\nMinimum of 6 years of related work experience\n Basic Qualifications\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field.\nKnowledge of Systems Engineering principles, practices, processes, and tools; with an understanding of practical implementation of those processes\nExperience with leading multi-disciplinary engineering project teams\nProficiency in generating, allocating, and verifying requirements for aerospace applications\nExperience with technology development design, development, planning, and testing\nProficient with Teamcenter, MS Office, MS Project, requirement management tools, and/or MBSE tools\nFamiliarity with an Agile/Scrum framework\nExperience with leading design reviews (e.g. SRR, SDR, PDR, etc.) \nExperience with aerospace systems, preferably including launch vehicle systems. \nExperience with proposal development and proposal team leadership\nTechnical knowledge in areas that drive aerospace design such as structural analysis and design, propulsion analysis and design, electrical analysis and design, software development, or system analysis.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong delegation and empowerment skills \nMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance if required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with ULA system engineering processes and procedures \nApplicable experience in ULA launch vehicles\nFamiliarity with MBSE or SysML\nExperience working with subcontractors, including development of specifications and statements of work\n Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $115,669.00 - $192,782.00\nPlease note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations.
