If you’re ready to work on our planes, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in tip-top shape.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvides real time support and authority for fleet (airframe/engine/component/system) related issues on the fleet. The position provides deferral authority for MEL items and works extensively with a network of partners to ensure compliance, reliability, and schedule integrity. The position supports a central control group and philosophy that flight crews and station maintenance personnel can access for 24/7 real-time authorization and troubleshooting support.\nCompliance and Oversight\nProvides authorization for deferral items\nEnsures total adherence to quality standards and compliance by engaging with partners\nReviews deferral for correct application and limit control\nProvides real time advice and support for current operations\nProvides flight crews, line maintenance technicians, and dispatch partners decisions and technical advice on a collaborative basis\nEngages with service engineering, line maintenance, planning, and other support groups to reach a decision on technical completion\nOut of Service Support\nProvides real time troubleshooting and guidance to stations with OTS fleet and or related issues\nUses control authority to set direction for OTS issues\nActs as a conduit for brining key entities together to resolve direction and scope for OTS and complex work issues\nCollaboration with Network Operation Center/Field Disciplines\nParticipates in cross functional interaction with NOC disciplines (OPB/DD/FO/SW/LP/SK)\nParticipates in a ‘working together’ and collaborative environment consistent with Corporate standards with all employee groups\nQualifications\nWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):\nMinimum 5 Years Line Maintenance and or base ‘dock’ production/engineering/related\nFAA Airframe and Power Plant License\nMicrosoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship\nSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualification\nReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position\nWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):\n10 Years Line Maintenance with Supervision experience\nTurbine Shop experience\nFurther Technical Training in fleet and extensive system knowledge\nThe starting rate for this role is $46.96.\nThis is also a bonus eligible position (i.e. profit sharing).\nWe offer competitive benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, accident & disability, employee assistance program, commuter, paid holidays, paid time off, 401(k) and flight privileges (subject to the respective collective bargaining agreement).\nUnited Airlines is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
