In addition, it aimed at improving the overall effectiveness of the UN's humanitarian operations in the field.\nOCHA's mission is to mobilize and coordinate effective and principled humanitarian action in partnership with national and international actors in order to:\nAlleviate human suffering in disasters and emergencies.\nAdvocate for the rights of people in need.\nPromote preparedness and prevention.\nFacilitate sustainable solutions.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nUnder the direct supervision of the Fleet Dispatcher the incumbent will undertake the tasks below;\nProvision of reliable and secure driving services. \nProper use of vehicle.\nDay-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle.\nAvailability of documents/ supplies.\nVehicle Cleanliness, Security, and Serviceability.\nVehicle Inspection and Preventive Maintenance.\nAccident Reporting and Compliance.\nOther Related Duties.\n1- Provision of reliable and secure driving services:\nEnsures provision of reliable and secure driving services by a) driving office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items and b) meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport, visa and customs formalities arrangement when required.\nEnsures cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports\n2- Proper use of vehicle\nEnsures proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc\n3- Day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle\nEnsures availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, necessary spare parts.\n4- Availability of documents/ supplies\nEnsures that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents.\n5- Vehicle Cleanliness, Security, and Serviceability\nEnsures that the assigned vehicle is clean, secure, properly equipped, and maintained in a roadworthy condition. Monitors fuel and fluid levels and coordinates scheduled servicing and repairs with the Fleet/Transport Unit\n6- Vehicle Inspection and Preventive Maintenance\nConducts routine inspections of assigned vehicles, checking engine oil, coolant, battery, brakes, tyres, lights, and other essential components.
