Job Description
The incumbent at United Overseas Bank Ltd will lead strategic initiatives, manage high-value client portfolios, and drive business growth in alignment with the bank's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with key corporate and high-net-worth individual clients, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Oversee a team of financial professionals, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and economic indicators to inform strategic decisions and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Lead complex financial transactions, including structuring deals, negotiating terms, and overseeing execution.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and business proposals to senior management and clients.
- Collaborate with other departments to leverage cross-functional expertise and enhance client solutions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in banking or financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
- Proven track record of driving business growth, managing significant client relationships, and achieving financial targets.
- Strong understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze complex data, and make sound business decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and effectively negotiate.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and relevant banking software.
