Join us and play an important part on our incredible team!\nWhat you get to do:\nYou’ll prepare high quality food that meets SeaWorld standards by following menu specifications. You will follow all safety and HACCP guidelines, use proper protective gear, and test food temperatures. You will also:\nOversee final prepared food quality\nCook high-quality food to menu specifications\nUtilize advanced and non-automated kitchen equipment, including open flame char grill, smokers, steam kettles, woks and large bakery machinery\nComplete food prep by cutting and chopping of vegetables, fruits and meats\nAssemble wraps, sandwiches, salads, fruit cups, etc.\nKeep all assigned areas clean and sanitary\nIncorporate knowledge of top eight allergens into the preparation of dietary meals\nInteract with Ambassadors and guests and deliver excellent service\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWhat it takes to succeed:\nAt least 18 years of age\nAbility to work with all food types, including food allergens, in any dining facility\nAt least one year of cooking experience or a combination of cooking experience and culinary school\nBasic knife skills\nAbility to pass SafeStaff training and RCS Responsible Vendor Training (alcohol)\nAbility to train on and use protective gear and kitchen equipment\nAbility to multi task in a fast-paced, high-production environment\nAbility to prepare special dietary meals\nCommunicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests\nValid state driver's license preferred\nIn-depth food safety and allergen knowledge a plus\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWhat else is important:\nAble to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.\nPosition engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed\nPerform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)\nAble to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
