Job overview and responsibilities

The Senior Developer, IT will be responsible for the development of our critical applications within the Crew Technology. This role leads the design and delivery of complex features across the entire technology stack. The position takes ownership of major product areas, architecting scalable solutions while mentoring mid-level and junior developers. This role leverages AI agents extensively to accelerate development, automate routine tasks, and optimize team workflows. The Senior Developer drives code quality standards, participates in architectural decisions, and ensures reliability and performance of production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, execution, and delivery of enterprise Crew Technology solutions supporting Crew Records, Qualifications, Scheduling, Training, Compliance, and Workforce Management platforms
• Collaborate with technology leads, developers, business SMEs, architects, product owners, and operational stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions that support crew operations
• Drive integration of Crew applications with enterprise platforms, operational systems, cloud services, APIs, and data analytics solutions
• Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies by facilitating sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning activities
• Lead API and event-driven integrations between Crew Technology platforms, operational systems, regulatory applications, and external vendor solutions
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and product teams to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable solutions
• Lead unit, integration, and system testing activities and partner with QA teams to ensure end-to-end solution qualit
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to airline crew operations, cloud-native development, workforce management, and regulatory compliance
• Identify, document, and communicate risks, issues, blockers, dependencies, and mitigation plans to project and technology leadership
• Coordinate with Cloud Infrastructure teams (AWS preferred) to ensure secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing applications
• Track delivery milestones, technical dependencies, and cross-team commitments across multiple workstreams
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party technology integrations supporting Crew Operations and Inflight business functions
• Support and mentor development teams in resolving technical challenges, improving engineering practices, and maintaining delivery momentum
• Drive application modernization initiatives involving web technologies, cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations
• Ensure solutions meet operational, security, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements while supporting crew readiness and operational excellence

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• Experience with modern development technologies including .NET and Angular
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development, enterprise application delivery, and system integration
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications in an Agile environment
• Strong experience with web application development, API integrations, cloud technologies, and enterprise software platforms
• Experience designing and developing scalable distributed applications using modern application architectures
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and documentation skills
• Knowledge of application security, resiliency, monitoring, and performance optimization best practices
• Familiarity with highly regulated environments and compliance requirements supporting operational systems
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

• Experience with AWS cloud platforms
• Experience delivering solutions supporting Crew Management, Crew Records, Crew Scheduling, Training Management, Compliance, Workforce Management, or operational systems
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, JSON, XML, OAuth, and secure integration patterns
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, and version control tools such as Git
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases and modern data integration technologies
• Strong organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams
• Experience with Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
• Experience in airline operations, crew management, inflight systems, or workforce management solutions
• AWS or cloud-related certifications
• SAFe Agile certification
• Experience with Crew Records, Qualifications, Crew Scheduling, Training, or aviation compliance systems
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating workloads to cloud-native platforms
• Knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements, crew qualification management, and operational readiness processes
• Experience integrating third-party airline operational systems and enterprise SaaS platforms

The base pay range for this role is $112,480.00 to $146,540.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
