Growing together.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and deploy scalable end-to-end AI/ML solutions for complex business problems\nOwn the full model lifecycle including data preparation, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and production deployment\nBuild and optimize ML pipelines and workflows for scalability, reliability, and performance\nDevelop advanced AI solutions using techniques such as NLP, deep learning, predictive modeling, and Generative AI\nCollaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions\nIntegrate AI/ML models into enterprise applications and production systems\nImplement and manage MLOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, retraining, and version control\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve model performance in production environments\nContribute to reusable frameworks, libraries, and engineering best practices\nCommunicate technical designs, trade-offs, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders\nStay updated with emerging AI/ML technologies and apply them to drive innovation\n\nComply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements\nRequired Qualifications:\nGraduate degree or equivalent experience\nExperience with NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI use cases\nExperience building enterprise-grade AI systems with strong reliability and governance requirements\nExperience mentoring junior engineers or owning small modules/projects\nFamiliarity with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark or Ray\nKnowledge of Responsible AI practices including fairness, explainability, and bias mitigation\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
