The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field\n5+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines\nExperience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in enterprise or cloud environments\nExperience building machine learning pipelines and production-ready AI solutions\nExperience working with APIs, cloud-based AI services, and distributed data platforms\nExperience integrating AI/ML solutions into business applications and workflows\nSolid understanding of:Machine Learning\nStatistical Modeling\nPredictive Analytics\nModel Evaluation\nFeature Engineering\n\nFamiliarity with MLOps practices including model deployment, monitoring, experiment tracking, and lifecycle management\nKnowledge of model monitoring, performance evaluation, and production support processes\nUnderstanding of Responsible AI, model governance, and compliance requirements\nProven solid programming skills in Python and SQL\nProven solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience deploying machine learning solutions using Azure ML, SageMaker, Vertex AI, MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar platforms\nExperience with distributed data processing technologies including Spark, Databricks, PySpark, Kafka, or modern data engineering platforms\nExperience developing machine learning and deep learning solutions using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent frameworks\nExperience with Generative AI technologies including:Large Language Models (LLMs)\nRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)\nEmbeddings\nSemantic Search\nAgentic AI concepts\n\nExperience integrating AI services and model APIs into enterprise applications\nExperience contributing to reusable AI frameworks, engineering accelerators, or platform capabilities\nExperience working within healthcare, financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries\nFamiliarity with NLP, recommendation systems, forecasting, anomaly detection, or intelligent automation solutions\nFamiliarity with model monitoring, observability, and operational analytics practices\nUnderstanding of Responsible AI, model risk management, and governance frameworks\nProven contributions to AI innovation initiatives, open-source projects, technical publications, or enterprise transformation efforts\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
