Growing together.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nLead the design, development, deployment, and support of scalable data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence solutions, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and maintainable data products. Drive end-to-end delivery across the solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, CI/CD implementation, production support, and continuous improvement\nOwn operational excellence by optimizing ETL processes, data platforms, and system performance, while proactively monitoring production environments, resolving incidents, and implementing measures that enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Establish and enforce robust data governance, quality, security, and compliance frameworks to ensure data integrity and adherence to organizational standards\nCollaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic, business-aligned solutions, lead cross-functional initiatives, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's or higher degree in Operational Research, Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, or a related quantitative field\n3+ years of experience in SAS (including Advanced SAS, SAS Macros), SQL, and Teradata\n3+ years of experience in Data Visualization and BI reporting (Tableau or other BI tools)\n3+ years of experience in Quality Analysis and Automation\nHands-on experience with ETL processes, Unix shell scripting, and stored procedures\nMachine Learning, Predictive Analytics, and Anomaly Detection experience\nGenerative AI, LLMs, RAG, and Agentic AI concepts experience\nCloud Data Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) experience\nSolid expertise in data processing and warehousing technologies including Teradata and Snowflake\nFamiliarity with version control and deployment tools such as GitHub, Airflow, Docker containerization\nProficiency in Python/PySpark and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
