Growing together.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nProvide technical leadership and build in architecture, design and engineering in modernization of legacy Data Ingestion, ETL and Database to new technologies in the Public Cloud (Azure), Big Data and API Space\nLead the technology transformation from our legacy Data and Analytic platforms to a Big Data Cloud based Modern Software paradigm. Be innovative in solution design and development to meet the needs of the business\nUnderstands security threats and patterns comprehensively and ensures adherence to all regulatory initiatives. HIPPA, PHI, PII, locational data restrictions, contractual etc.\nContribute towards inner source to save significant $ savings and educate/encourage other teams across portfolios to use the inner source code in their products\nCreate a common framework and repository for the development of Modern APIs available to the Optum Product Engineering Team\nDemonstrate leadership in the context of software engineering and be an evangelist for engineering best practices\nCreate next generation streaming applications to use our Data as a strategic platform to grow the top line revenue\nStay abreast of leading-edge technologies in the industry evaluating emerging software technologies\nWork collaboratively with all business areas to assess unmet/new business needs and solutions\nEncourage the growth of junior engineers on the team through skills development, mentoring and technical guidance\nCreate a startup mentality to accelerate the introduction of new capabilities and transform teams\nAvid supporter of the Open Source software community\nDisplay a solid desire to achieve and attain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction\nComply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements\nRequired Qualifications:\nEngineering graduate in Computer Science or equivalent stream\n7+ years of software product development experience working on commercially available software and / or healthcare platforms\n3+ years of solid experience designing and building Enterprise Data solutions on cloud\n3+ years of experience developing solutions hosted in Azure\nSubject matter expert on Cloud technologies preferably Azure and Big Data ecosystem\nExperience with Data warehousing services on Azure\nExperience in using modern software engineering and product development tools including Agile / SAFE, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, DevOps etc.\nSolid experience of operating in a quickly changing environment and driving technological innovation to meet business requirement\nProven track record of building relationships across cross-functional teams\nDemonstrated excellent time management, communication, decision making, and presentation skills\nPreferred Qualification:\nExperience in AI/ML\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
