Growing together.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nData Pipeline Development\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines\nIngest data from databases, APIs, cloud platforms, files, and streaming sources\nAutomate data movement and transformation processes.Data Warehousing & Modeling\n\nDesign data models such as Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Marts\nBuild and maintain enterprise data warehouses and data lakes\nOptimize storage, partitioning, and query performance\nData Quality & Governance\nImplement data validation and quality checks\nEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness\nApply governance, security, RBAC, encryption, and compliance standards\nCloud Data Engineering\nBuild solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP\nManage services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, Snowflake, and Spark\nSupport cloud migrations and modernization initiatives\nPerformance Optimization\nTune SQL queries, Spark jobs, and pipelines\nMonitor batch and real-time workloads\nResolve failures and ensure SLA adherence\nCollaboration & Requirements Gathering\nWork with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and stakeholders\nTranslate business requirements into scalable data solutions\nSupport testing, validation, and production deployments\nDevOps & Automation\nImplement CI/CD for data pipelines\nUse GitHub, Azure DevOps, and automation frameworks\nMaintain version control and deployment processes\nReporting & Analytics Enablement\nProvide clean, trusted datasets for Power BI, Tableau, AI/ML models, and operational reporting\nEnable self-service analytics across the organization\nComply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements\nRequired Qualifications:\nGraduate degree or equivalent experience\nProven experience in real-time + streaming pipelines\nProven hands-on work in Databricks + Azure ecosystem\nProven exposure to AI/agentic or LLM-based implementations and AI-DLC lifecycle\nDemonstrated work on enterprise-scale data platforms (not POCs only)\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
