Growing together.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms using advanced programming languages, and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake)\nDevelop resilient data architectures across data warehouses, lakes, and streaming environments to support enterprise analytics and reporting\nEnsure enterprise data security, governance, quality, and standardization across all data and analytics solutions\nLead the end to end delivery of analytics data products, from design and development through production support and optimization\nCollaborate with business stakeholders and engineering partners to enable business intelligence, advanced analytics, and machine learning solutions\nMentor and guide a team of data engineers, driving best practices, technical excellence, and continuous improvement\nComply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Typically 8+ years of relevant experience\nBig Data/Distributed Systems: Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Redshift or Kafka\nData Architecture: Experience with data modeling, warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), and ETL/ELT best practices\nCloud Platforms: Exhaustive experience of working with Azure cloud services\nData Pipelines: Knowledge of designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines\nTools & DevOps: Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow), CI/CD, Git, and Linux (Shell Scripting)\nLanguages: Solid expertise in Python and/or Scala/Java\nSQL & Data Modeling: Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and performance tuning\nSoft Skills & Leadership: Demonstrated solid communication, collaboration, and the ability to mentor junior engineers\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
