Growing together.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAnalyze business and technical requirements, Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, write unit test cases and support application testing\nSupport deployment, post-deployment activities, and ongoing maintenance\nCollaborate with Agile and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions\nComply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field\n4+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development\n3+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development\n3+ years of experience using GitHub for source code management, branching strategies, and version control\n2+ years of experience developing applications using Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Hibernate\n2+ years of experience working with SQL/PL-SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases such as Azure Cosmos DB\n1+ years of experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns\n1+ years of experience working with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes\nExperience working with Angular, Node JS, React JS, Svelte JS, HTML/CSS, Java Script, Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle, npm/yarn) and version control (Git)\nExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment\nExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based architecture\nExperience with containerization technologies including Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes\nExperience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform \nSolid understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and modern application architecture\nSolid understanding of software engineering development and best practices, security principles, testing methodologies, and Agile development processes\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD\nSolid proficiency in Java 17+, Spring Boot, RESTful Web Services, Hibernate, JPA, and enterprise application development\nProven excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and other enterprise-approved AI tools\nDemonstrated ability to leverage AI for coding, testing, documentation, and analysis\nDemonstrated solid adoption of AI-assisted development practices (target 90%+ weekly usage)\nDemonstrates continuous learning and adoption of emerging AI capabilities\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
