Growing together.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDelivery Leadership & Governance\nLead Scrum planning, execution, defect management, and release validation activities\nDefine and implement standards, processes, templates, and best practices\nEstablish quality gates and readiness checkpoints to ensure successful production releases\nDrive risk assessment and mitigation strategies for critical business initiatives\nProvide quality status reporting and executive-level communication\nStakeholder Partnership\nPartner with Product, Engineering, Business Operations, and Program teams to ensure business requirements are testable and validated\nFacilitate requirement reviews and acceptance criteria assessments\nServe as the primary point of contact for business acceptance and release readiness discussions\nAlign testing strategies with business priorities and organizational goals\nTest Strategy & Execution\nDevelop comprehensive UAT strategies covering:\nFunctional testing\nEnd-to-end validation\nRegression testing\nIntegration testing\nBusiness process validation\nEnsure full test coverage and traceability from requirements to test results\nOversee defect triage and resolution activities\nQuality Engineering & Automation\nDrive adoption of test automation and AI-assisted testing practices\nIdentify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, quality, and delivery speed\nPromote shift-left testing practices and quality engineering principles\nEvaluate and implement tools and capabilities that enhance testing effectiveness\nTeam Leadership\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of UAT analysts and quality engineers\nConduct performance management, coaching, and career development activities\nManage resource planning, workload balancing, and capability development\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation\nMetrics & Continuous Improvement\nEstablish and monitor KPIs including:\nDefect leakage\nUAT execution progress\nTest coverage\nRelease readiness metrics\nAutomation adoption metrics\nDrive root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives\nSupport operational excellence and modernization efforts\n\nComply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field\n7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, QA, or UAT\n3+ years of people leadership experience\nExperience managing testing activities for large-scale enterprise applications\nExperience with defect management and test management tools\nSolid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and release management processes\nProven solid stakeholder management and communication skills\nProven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
