Growing together.\nThe Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating appointments, maximizing clinician schedules, verifying insurance and providing a positive patient experience. The coordinator answers incoming calls within appropriate timelines and meet productivity and quality standards set by the organization. The coordinator is responsible for reviewing provider schedules daily to ensure maximum capacity met. This position is required to effectively communicate with clinical teams, nurses, and clinicians to relay information to the appropriate clinic as needed. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other important training is a condition of employment.\nThis position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 7:55am - 4:25pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.\nWe offer 4-6 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted onsite and will go remote after.\nWatch this video to understand the expectations of being a remote worker with UnitedHealthcare.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAccurately schedules and coordinates patient appointments for assigned clinics. \nThe ability to work in a high call volume environment while meeting productivity and quality standards. \nAnalyzing provider schedules to ensure maximum capacity is met. \nObtains eligibility and benefit information in a timely manner: assigning FSC (Financial Class) benefits, and all other related activities i.e. transfers, demographic data changes in EPIC. \nRegistering patients in EPIC including updating patient demographics, current insurance information, current primary care provider, emergency contacts, and all relevant fields. \nUse appropriate text templates in the electronic health record, sending encounters using the electronic health record, and ability to multitask between business office systems and the electronic health record. \nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience\nMust be 18 years of age OR older\n1+ years of related customer service experience in a call center, medical office/healthcare facility, healthcare insurance carrier, OR scheduling field\nKnowledge of Medical Terminology\nExperience with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel)\nAbility to work our normal business hours from 7:55 am - 4:25 pm MST from Monday - Friday.
