Growing together.\nYou'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nPerform deep dive performance forensics using Strobe, DB2 Visualizer, and exception reporting to isolate code level drivers of degradation\nAbility to use SQL statements and DB2 processing to improve CPU usage and run time\nDeliver technical code in COBOL, Java, Python, Go, JCL, & REXX\nMust be comfortable with performing application code review for tuning recommendations\nDaily review of exception report metrics to address anomalies as they occur\nProvide routine awareness of technical solutions and education among the APM team\nAssist in war room hosting for issues that arise impacting application support\nEngage in technology proof of concept and proof of technology support\nProvide mentorship to less experienced application performance technical team\nDeliver 7x24x365 technical support for application improvements\nLeverage AI tools daily to enhance analysis efficiency, streamline support activities, and improve overall productivity\nYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.\nRequired Qualifications:\nUndergraduate degree or equivalent experience\n10+ years of application performance experience with proficiency in application tuning on large, multi-processor, multi-LPAR, Parallel Sysplex environments\nKnowledge of z/OS, Strobe, & monitoring systems (e.g. Omegamon)\nKnowledge and proficiency in the use of TSO, ISPF, JCL, and ability to modify job streams for batch\nWorking understanding of USS (Unix), CICS, Liberty, DB2, and SQL\nPreferred Qualification:\nOur environments are evolving to more usage of High Performance Compute (HPC) and experience with OpenShift, Linux, and Bash\n*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.\nPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
