The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field\n5+ years of experience with Agile/Lean software development practices\n3+ years of experience with cloud environments and architecture, preferably Azure or GCP\nExperience automating CI/CD pipelines and working with source control systems such as Git and GitHub\nHands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, SQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern web application development\nSolid experience developing applications and services using Python and modern API development practices\nExperience designing, building, and supporting scalable, secure, enterprise-grade applications using modern architecture patterns, microservices, and service-oriented architectures\nHands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying production applications that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI services, AI agents, or intelligent automation capabilities\nExperience implementing AI application patterns such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, vector databases, semantic search, conversational AI, or knowledge-grounded AI solutions\nProficient engineering experience building infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)\nProficient use of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality\nDemonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering best practices across teams\nProven solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAzure Developer, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer, or related certifications\nExperience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI frameworks\nExperience building AI-powered copilots, intelligent search solutions, chat applications, or workflow automation platforms\nExperience implementing Responsible AI, AI governance, and security practices\nExperience in healthcare, analytics, reporting, or other highly regulated industries\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
