Growing together.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nOwn end-to-end application delivery, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance scalable Python-based applications, including bug fixes and feature development\nDesign, build, and optimize AI-powered solutions leveraging LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph, and prompt engineering techniques\nDrive AI adoption by identifying opportunities to improve business processes, developer productivity, and operational efficiency using GenAI capabilities\nAnalyze, prioritize, and resolve defects in partnership with Product, Business, and Engineering teams\nDesign and implement automation across development, testing, monitoring, deployment, and operational processes\nDrive performance optimization, reliability improvements, and scalability initiatives\nProvide technical leadership through solution design, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices\nPartner with stakeholders on technical assessments, project status, risk management, and issue resolution\nEvaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and continuous improvement opportunities\nLead QA, UAT, release management, and change management activities\nOwn critical production incidents, root cause analysis, and SLA-driven issue resolution\nParticipate in on-call support and ensure application stability and operational excellence\nComply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field\n6+ years of experience as a Backend/Python Developer\nHands-on experience with Azure cloud services, preferably including Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)\nExperience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies\nSolid expertise in:Backend Development: Python, FastAPI\nAI/LLM Technologies: LangChain, LangGraph, prompt engineering, and integration with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, or Codex\nDatabase: MongoDB\nTesting: pytest, pytest-asyncio\n\nProven excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders\nProven flexible and adaptable, with willingness to support critical project needs outside of standard business hours when required\nAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
