currently looking to recruit a Senior Design Coordinator for our Social Housing design team.\nTo assist the Design Manager in coordinating the consultant team in the development of the detailed design, ensuring the design is fully coordinated and complies the United Infrastructure's requirements and current regulations, to achieve the necessary approvals and enable a start on site in line with agreed programmes.\nCoordinate technical and design processes, design teams and subcontractors throughout detail design, procurement and construction, monitoring progress to ensure delivery on time and in budget\nTechnical design coordination of schemes, in accordance with agreed programme, ensuring company targets are met and that the maximum revenue is generated by the quality, cost effectiveness and buildability of the design.\nAssisting Design Manager with reviewing of consultants detail design drawings and subcontractor designs\nCoordinating consultants and their deliverables driving a high standard\nEnsuring that designs comply with Company’s standards\nPromoting design that respects budgetary constraints\nProviding support to Design Manager on job running\nEnsuring fully complete, correct and coordinated packages issued to Commercial and Construction teams\nMaintaining and delivering in accordance with Company values\nManaging subcontractor and supplier design approvals ensuring timely turnaround\nMonitoring subcontractor design approvals and keep up dated approvals schedule in line with build programme\nManaging the flow of information to Commercial, Operations and Client.\nUpdating and coordinating monthly design schedules\nReviewing and coordinating design and technical related issues with the Commercial and Operations teams.\nManaging change control process for variations in relation to drawing revisions, construction programmes and costs\nMonitoring and obtaining all critical certificates to ensure documentation is in place for completion and handovers\nCollating all required information and liaising with Planning Authorities and Building Control to make submissions and obtaining all necessary approvals as required\nEnsuring all documents are correctly available for the Document Controller\nManaging the processing of information through workflows on the document management system\nEnsuring current drawings are filed in order and design information exchange is as per the company protocol.\nUndertaking site visits as required\nAttending site meetings and monthly/weekly project meetings\nPrinciple design and technical contact during construction works\nMonitoring work executed on site to ensure that is as benchmarked and as designed/specified\nManaging, investigating and responding promptly with full close out to RFIs from site team and subcontractors\nReviewing and advising on corrective measures for identified design issues\nCompiling H&S files and O&M manuals\nAt all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.\nComply with responsibilities as laid down in the group’s health, safety and environmental policy.\nRequirements\nEssential\nThorough with a pro-active management style\nAbility to prioritise as appropriate, motivate and communicate in order to influence others to ensure that the required objectives are met\nAn analytical approach to work with an eye for detail.\nLeadership skills including being decisive, flexible, good time management, organised, effective, works well under pressure and to strict deadlines\nAbility to review drawings and identify buildability and technical issues\nProject and process management\nProblem solving and decision making\nDesign delivery and assessing risks\nEffective communication with all levels of management and project teams, both internal and external to the Company\nProven track record of design coordination.\nMinimum relevant Level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc.)\nUp to date relevant construction industry knowledge including legislation and procedures.\nValid driving licence\nKnowledge of methodology and sequencing process in delivering a construction project including design and pre-construction activities\nRelevant Design and Build experience.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nDesirable\nPassionate about construction and customer satisfaction, with a focus on high standards and excellence.\nProven track record of design requirements for procurement and construction purposes.\nIn depth knowledge of contractual requirements and section agreements and utility application process.\nTenacious and driven\nStrong practical knowledge of construction work types, methods and design solutions.\nExperience with CAD (AutoCAD or Revit)\nKnowledge & understanding of BIM\nMember
