This role involves online instruction in a RN-BSN or MSN program at one or more of Unitek Learning's colleges (Eagle Gate College, Brookline College, Provo College, Unitek College of Nursing, or Workforce Solutions).\nInstruct students utilizing existing curriculum for assigned classes.\nMake continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by using different and innovative methodologies and/or teaching techniques.\nAssist with reviewing and revising syllabi and instructional guidelines.\nRegularly evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving curriculum and course objectives and inform them in a timely manner of their progress.\nAssist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of program.\nMaintain student records of attendance, grades, and assist with program data collection.\nUtilize the Learning Management System (LMS) as the tool to deliver course content while maintaining relevance and currency.\nProvide access to students for ongoing communication through scheduling of office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.\nParticipate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure and stay current with college updates.\nCommitment to teaching and working with a multicultural and multigenerational student body.\nServe as subject matter expert (SME) for university and accreditation requirements/reporting.\nFaculty teaching in courses with unit/final exams are responsible for conducting weekly recorded synchronous sessions for students via distance modality (Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, etc.).\nFaculty must hold a minimum of two (2) office hours weekly.\nOther duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean.\n Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure or eligible in all states where MSN programs are established.\nRegistered Nurse with current and unencumbered licensure in California.\nMaster's Degree in Nursing required; Terminal Degree in Nursing (DNP, EdD, PhD) required.\nExperience which demonstrates: Current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor students; effective communication skills, both verbal and written.\nAt least 3 years’ experience in direct patient care as an RN.\nMinimum of 1-year previous pre-licensure nursing online teaching experience required utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).\nA documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments including but not limited to:education theory and practice.\ncurrent concepts relative to subjects taught.\ncurrent clinical practice experience.\ndistance education techniques and delivery.\n\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed.\n For Full Time Employees, We Offer:\nMedical, Dental and Vision starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment\n2 Weeks’ starting Vacation per year.
