Participate in the preparation of the final evaluations for the course. \nResponsible for assuring class attendance and grades are kept and submitted. \nAssist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of program. \nPlan and implement orientation of new faculty in theory & clinical facilities for the courses. \nUtilize principles of teaching that recognize the characteristics of the adult learner. \nMake continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction. \nDemonstrate or be willing to acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material during interactive teaching and learning. \nMaintain student records and assist with program data collection. \nSubmit required program reports & forms to the Director of the program in a timely manner. \nKeep current with new technologies and safety regulations. \nParticipate in committee activities that support the education program(s). \nAttend faculty meetings \nPlan and supervises student clinical experience in assigned health care facilities. \nFollow all policies and procedures established by Unitek Learning. \nProvide feedback on clinical performance or specific events immediately after observation. \nEnsure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs. \nDetermine best method to observe, instruct, and evaluate students. \nProvide in-person and remote access to students for ongoing communication. \nParticipate in student advising activities. \nRegular, in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site is an essential function of this position. \nThis role requires on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff. \nPerform other duties as assigned. \nEducation, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nMust meet all nursing board requirements for an instructor in the state(s) from which students will attend.\nAmong the requirements for faculty teaching technical (non- Gen Ed) courses in a CCNE-accredited BSN program at a college accredited by ACCSC are:\nat least 4 years’ experience in direct patient care as an RN \na BSN degree and a health-related Masters or Doctorate degree* \nAmong the requirements for faculty teaching technical (non- Gen Ed) courses in a CCNE-accredited BSN program at a college accredited by ABHES are:\nat least 3 years’ experience in direct patient care as an RN \na BSN degree and a health-related Masters or Doctorate degree* \n To be considered for the position, you must meet the requirements set by the board of nursing below:\nMSN degree OR BSN and currently enrolled in an MSN program. Candidates with their BSN and enrolled in an MSN program will only be eligible to teach clinicals. \n4 years of bedside nursing experience. \nCurrent, active nursing license in the state where the position is located \nCurrent immunization and Basic Life Support certification \nAble to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing.\n We Offer:\nMedical, Dental and Vision starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment\n2 Weeks’ starting Vacation per year.
