In this role, you’llwork closely with operational teams, clinicians, staff, residents, customersand partners to understand their needs, communicate clearly through the project lifecycleand translate requirementsinto practical, well-delivered outcomes.\nReporting to the Senior ProjectManager, you’llmanage a broad range ofcapital projects from concept through to completion, including upcoming residential aged care refurbishments, sustainability and demolitionprojects, upgrades, and larger development works such asthe PinangbaCairns project. With approved refurbishments valued at approximately $7-10 million each and larger developmentsaround $40 million, this role offers variety, complexity and the chance to deliver projects that genuinely support people in need.\nPlease note,this position isa 12-month contract with the possibility to extend. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working by agreement.\nYour part in our UnitingCare team:\nManage the delivery of capital projects, including residential aged care refurbishments, upgrades, sustainability initiatives, demolition worksand largerdevelopments.\n\nEngage closely with customers and stakeholders to understand needs, communicate effectivelyand ensure projects deliver practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes in live operating environments.\n\nSupport a portfolio predominantly acrossBlueCare, with the opportunity to contribute to hospital projects as required.\n\nApply project management fundamentals across governance, time, cost, scope, quality, reportingand benefits realisation\n\nBuild strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders to support smooth delivery\n\nIdentifyand manage risks, issuesand interdependencies, escalating when needed\n\nProvide clear, practical advice to support decision-making and problem-solving\n\nMonitor and report on key project performance metrics\n\nLive the values and contributeto a positive team cultureand support broader portfolio outcomes\n\nWhat makes a difference for us?\nConfidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. This may includeaNationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia\n\nTertiary qualification in property, construction management, or related field.\n\nProject management competency certification (e.g., PMP, AIPM).\n\nExperience delivering minor to medium capital works projects end-to-end.\n\nAdvanced computer skills and proficiencyin Microsoft Office; familiarity with Power BI and MS Project.\n\nExperience delivering projects in live environments, with the ability to balance operational continuity, stakeholder needsand project outcomes.\n\nBackground in aged care, retirement living, health, education or government environments will be highly regarded.\n\nStrong stakeholder engagement, communicationand problem-solving skills.\n\nUnderstanding of health and safety legislation and commitment to best practice safety culture.\n\nExcellent organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and deliver on time and budget.\n\nAbility to work within a team environment and manage stakeholder expectations\n\nDemonstrated self-discipline through managing competing priorities and delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget\n\nWhat makes a difference for you?\nThe opportunity to be part of the second-largest Queensland employer who has been leading by example for more than 100 years.
