Unity provides comprehensive healthcare services with a strong focus on health equity, accessibility, and improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.\nPosition Summary\nUnity Health Care is seeking an experienced and dedicated Radiology Supervisor to oversee radiological services within our Department of Corrections (DOC) Health Center in Washington, DC.\nUnder the supervision of the Health Services Administrator, the Radiology Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the daily operations of the radiology and diagnostic imaging department within the correctional healthcare facility. This position provides leadership to radiology staff, ensures quality diagnostic imaging services, maintains regulatory compliance, and supports the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise radiology technicians and other radiological technology staff, ensuring appropriate staffing, scheduling, and daily workflow.\n\nOversee the purchasing, maintenance, and inventory management of radiological equipment and supplies.\n\nDevelop, implement, and monitor departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, organizational standards, and correctional healthcare requirements.\n\nEnsure compliance with the requirements of Campbell v. McGruder/Inmates of DC Jail v. Jackson.\n\nCoordinate and monitor routine quality control testing of radiology equipment, ensuring deficiencies are promptly identified and corrected.\n\nMaintain and report monthly departmental activity statistics as requested by Unity Health Care and/or the Department of Corrections.\n\nEnsure radiology staff follow established procedures when performing diagnostic X-rays for routine health examinations and the diagnosis of injuries and illnesses.\n\nProvide and coordinate ongoing training, professional development, and in-service education for radiology technicians.\n\nEnsure accurate and timely documentation of radiological services in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.\n\nPromote compliance with radiation safety standards, infection prevention practices, and applicable healthcare regulations.\n\nCollaborate with healthcare professionals, administrative leadership, and correctional facility staff to support efficient radiology operations and quality patient care.\n\nProvide effective leadership, resolve operational challenges, and maintain a safe and professional work environment.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation: Bachelor's degree (BS) required.\n\nExperience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the radiology field.\n\nExpert knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques.\n\nWorking knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.\n\nWorking knowledge of the effects of common medical and surgical conditions on radiographic examinations.\n\nBasic knowledge of physics and nursing practices.\n\nAbility to effectively supervise personnel, coordinate departmental activities, and manage competing priorities.\n\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a correctional healthcare environment while adhering to applicable regulatory and safety
