You will design, build, and operate critical data platform capabilities that enable high-throughput, reliable, and trusted data flows across Unity's advertising ecosystem, while also supporting common internal services used across the company.\nThis is a role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex platform problems, owning meaningful components end to end, and building systems that serve many teams at scale. You will partner closely with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and downstream data consumers to deliver platforms that are resilient, extensible, and easy to adopt.\nWhat you'll be doing\nDesign, build, and operate scalable platform services, backend systems, and self-service tooling used by users across Unity.\nWork across distributed systems, data platform, cloud infrastructure, observability, reliability, and automation.\nCollaborate with teammates and partner teams across Unity to deliver reliable, reusable solutions.\nBuild systems that are reliable, maintainable, secure, cost-efficient, and easy for internal teams to adopt.\nWhat we're looking for\nSolid experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems, backend services, or data platforms in production.\nStrong backend and systems engineering skills, including service design, API design, debugging, and production operations.\nA good understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and operational trade-offs.\nFamiliarity with cloud-native infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability.\nYou might also have\nExperience with data-intensive platforms, including pipelines, streaming systems, storage layers, or analytics infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with privacy, security, compliance, and cost-efficiency considerations in large-scale platform environments.\nExperience applying AI or agentic tooling to engineering workflows.\nAdditional information\nRelocation support is not available for this position\nWork visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this position\nSalary Range\nDKK800,000 - DKK1,100,000 annually\nThis range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position.
