Behind the platform is a globally distributed IT team responsible for the infrastructure, security, networking, and operational services that keep both our products and our employees running.\nWe are looking for an Infrastructure & Network Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. This is a broad, hands-on role combining infrastructure engineering, networking, security, cloud operations, and local site support. You will help maintain and improve the technology that powers our business operations and customer-facing services.\nBecause our team is intentionally lean, the role offers significant ownership and influence. You will work closely with colleagues across IT, product development, security, and delivery while acting as the local technical presence for our Bangalore office and datacenter facilities.\nLocation and Working Arrangement:\nThis is a hybrid role based in Noida. Much of the day-to-day work can be performed remotely; however, the position is not fully remote. Univers Bazefield maintains an office in Noida plus physical infrastructure and networking equipment in Bangaluru that occasionally requires hands-on intervention.\nCandidates should live within reasonable travelling distance of the office facilities and be able to attend on-site when required, including occasionally outside normal business hours during incidents or maintenance activities. Travel to the datacenter will be required when determined by the business case.\nWhat Success Looks Like:\nBecome a trusted member of the global IT team and participate in operational support and incident management activities.\nTake ownership of regional infrastructure, networking equipment, and datacenter operations in the Asis Region.\nContribute to improvements in reliability, monitoring, security, automation, and operational efficiency.\nBuild strong working relationships with colleagues across infrastructure, development, delivery, and customer-facing teams.\nHelp strengthen the company’s security, compliance, and operational maturity.\nKey Responsibilities:\nInfrastructure & Cloud Operations:\nOperate, maintain, and improve the company’s infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments.\nAdminister servers, virtualisation platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and monitoring tools.\nPerform patching, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and platform maintenance.\nSupport the hosting, deployment, and delivery of Bazefield services in collaboration with engineering and delivery teams.\nNetwork & Security Engineering:\nOperate and maintain network and security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, wireless networks, and network segmentation.\nAssist with platform hardening, vulnerability remediation, access control management, and security improvements.\nSupport logging, monitoring, security investigations, and incident response activities.\nContribute to maintaining compliance with security and governance frameworks such as ISO 27001.\nIncident Management & Operational Excellence:\nParticipate in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.\nIdentify recurring operational issues and implement sustainable improvements.\nDocument configurations, procedures, standards, and operational processes.\nProactively identify risks, technical debt, and opportunities for automation.\nDatacenter & Site Operations:\nPerform hands-on infrastructure work, including hardware installation, replacement, cabling, asset management, and physical troubleshooting.\nSupport regional datacenter operations and coordinate with vendors when required.\nAssist during maintenance activities, outages, and infrastructure upgrades.\nLocal IT Support:\nAct as the local extension of the global IT team for the Noida office.\nProvide hands-on support for laptops, workstations, mobile devices, peripherals, and office technology.\nManage end-user equipment through its full lifecycle, including provisioning, maintenance, and retirement.\nEssential Technical Experience:\nWe are looking for strong practical experience across most of the following areas:\nWindows Server and Linux administration\nMicrosoft Azure cloud services\nVirtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware\nNetwork infrastructure and troubleshooting\nFirewall administration and VPN technologies\nIdentity and access management\nMicrosoft 365 administration\nServer hardware, storage systems, RAID, and NAS technologies\nBackup, recovery, monitoring, and patch management\nIncident response and operational support\nNetworking Knowledge:\nVLANs, IPv4, and NAT\nIPsec, SSL/TLS, and VPN technologies\n802.1X authentication\nRouting, switching, wireless networking, and segmentation\nRelevant Technology Experience:\nSophos Firewall, or comparable platforms\nActive Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365\nMicrosoft SQL Server, IIS and Reverse Proxy Technologies\nOpenVPN, Site to SIte VPN Infrastructure and Zero-Trust Networks\nNice to Have Experience:\nInfrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.\nAutomation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, or equivalent.\nContainer platforms and Kubernetes.\nManaged cloud services, databases, or data lake technologies.\nSecurity technologies such as IDS/IPS, reverse proxy, DLP, and endpoint security.\nObservability and monitoring platforms.\nExperience working within ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks.\nExperience using AI-assisted operational tooling and automation.\nEducation & Experience:\n6-10 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, network, or cloud engineering roles.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science,
