Your health and safety are our number one priority, and we will do our best to accommodate within reason.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTION:\nThe primary purpose of this position is to lead production line team members, perform Production Team Leader duties, and provide support to the department supervisor.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for upholding company policies and procedures including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), record keeping, personnel qualifications, sanitation, cleanliness, equipment verification, process validation, and complaint handling. \nLeads production filling lines employees, maintains staff by training and providing development of employees; shares detailed reports about team performance, tracks attendance, and assists department supervisor with hiring processes.\nCommunicates job expectations; monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.\nResolves personnel problems by answering team member questions, helps with team member problems; investigating issues; identifying solutions; and recommending action. \nSupport department supervisor and perform leadership duties when the supervisor is absent or out of office.\nPromote healthy communication between workers and management.\nPrepare work schedules and shift job orders by utilizing ERP software, distributing personnel work assignments; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; and reporting results. \nMaintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; inventory control; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and encouraging a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.\nMaintains quality and safety by enforcing organization standards.\nEnsures operation of equipment, which includes pumps, filling lines, filters and calling for repairs.\nMaintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.\nRequires infrequent use of electric pallet jacks.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nESSENTIAL/SKILLS NEEDED:\nProcessing Team Leader/ProcessorERP scheduling module basic\nTeam leading certificate.\n\nTeam Leading, Coaching, Production Planning and Scheduling, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Problem Solving/Analysis, Results Driven, Communication Proficiency, Time Management.\nExperienced with the ability to meet production schedules. \nAbility to understand the processes and to run all available equipment in Production department.\nAbility to develop strong production teams, maintain employee retention and safety, and maintain equipment and cleanliness of work areas.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nGood interpersonal skills and able to work well with a diverse group of staff, co-workers, and all those involved with production process.\nExperienced in being responsible for the company facilities, equipment or other material assets.\nMust be team-oriented and able to work well in a team setting yet be able to work independently as needed. \nAble to handle repetitious and routine work, detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and uses good judgment.\nEnglish comprehension including speaking, reading, and writing is required for our business's necessity to ensure a safe and effective work environment.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nPrevious 2-3 years of Team Leading experience in a food production environment (preferred) \nFood Safety Systems\nFamiliar with ERP software\nTraining Requirements:\nTeam leader/supervisor training\nBehavior based safety.\nCommunication\nReasonable suspicious\nOSHA 10 hrs.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able to work in various indoor temperatures including elevated heat and humidity. \nExposure to elevated noise levels which occurs below OSHA thresholds. \nInfrequent exposure to machine sanitation solutions and detergents.\nExposure to various spices and food manufacturing smells throughout a work shift. \nRequired to wear Personal Protective Equipment [PPE].\nRequired to follow Good Manufacturing Practices [GMPs].\nRequires infrequent lifting up to 30 lbs.\nRequires prolonged sitting or standing throughout the work-shift.\nRequires frequent use of both hands for typing. \nExposure to food allergens such as, but not limited to, milk eggs, tree nuts, wheat, and soybeans will occur.\nConduct, Quality, Integrity, and Culture\nConduct: We will conduct every aspect of our business with honesty, integrity, and openness, respecting human rights and the interests of our employees, customers, and third parties.\nQuality: Shank’s is committed to food safety and product quality.
